After 18 years in the financial services profession, Sarah Elise Berry joined the renowned team of financial planners at McGee Wealth Management, Inc. in 2019. Sarah is driven to help people solve problems and make better life planning decisions using her financial planning and consulting skills. She believes that for many Americans stress is caused by money related matters and it is her mission to help put people at ease.
She began her career at Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. September of 2001 in Eugene, Oregon while still a college student. Her first firm was financial planning centric and gave her the opportunity to become securities licensed even before earning her college degree. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in Sociology and Business in 2004. Later, Sarah worked for a second Raymond James firm in Lake Oswego, Oregon and in 2007 she became a Registered Principal, Branch Manager. Her role grew into leadership, compliance and oversight for the firm as well as client related service, investment solutions and implementation.
In August 2013, Sarah accepted a leadership role with Waddell & Reed as the Market Director overseeing the advisors and staff in the State of Oregon & Southwest Washington. Her role included training, coaching and supervision. She was the sole female among eighteen males in the role for the company nationally.
At McGee Wealth Management (MWM) Sarah serves as Vice President and the Director of Business Development. She brings her years of leadership experience, coaching and guiding teams to help further grow the firm for the future. As a Wealth Manager with Raymond James, she once again has a direct impact on clients. The face to face client interaction and her work in financial planning are the key areas she missed in her former corporate role.
Sarah & her husband Cedric are enthusiastic supporters and volunteers in community charities including the Children’s Cancer Association, Maurice Lucas Foundation and others. She is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Oregon/SW Washington and Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS Oregon Chapter).
Cedric and Sarah have a daughter, Isabella (Bella) who delights her parents and a larger extended family. Sarah’s hobbies include cooking, Barre3, spin class and traveling the globe.
