Since 1988, Linette Dobbins, CFP®, has been a driving force behind the success of McGee Wealth Management, Inc., and a Registered Investment Advisor, helping develop the business into one of Oregon’s leading wealth management firms. As President and Chief Compliance Officer, Linette helps define and implement the firm’s vision. She interfaces with regulatory agencies, and supervises all investment and financial planning functions.
With more than a quarter century in the personal finance and investment management field, Linette demonstrates a special talent for translating complex financial issues into simple, understandable concepts, and creating action plans to help meet clients’ individual goals. In keeping with the philosophy of McGee Wealth Management, Linette thrives on helping small businesses and multigenerational families manage, preserve and transfer their wealth in a meaningful way.
Linette received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™1 (CFP®) certification1 in 2000. She helped write J.K. Lasser’s Personal Investment Planner, published by Simon and Schuster, and The Random House Personal Investment Management Guide, both authored by Judith A. McGee, Chair/CEO (MWM) and Co-Branch manager (RJFS). She worked with Judith on two CrimeLine® law enforcement training projects; Investment Fraud and Financial Exploitation of Seniors, the latter receiving national acclaim as an extended learning program for New York’s Bellevue University.
Linette holds securities licenses Series 7, 24, 63 and 65. She is a Co-Branch Manager for Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., (RJFS) member FINRA/SIPC, one of RJFS’s leading branch offices ranked nationally based on production. RJFS has recognized Linette’s talents in technology and compliance and has drafted her for the company’s advisory committees. She is life, health and variable annuity licensed in Oregon and Washington.
Giving back is paramount to the McGee Wealth Management team. Throughout her career, Linette exemplifies the concept of selfless contribution of time and talent to organizations such as the prestigious Circle of Giving that benefits women’s health research at Oregon Health & Science University, the Portland, Oregon, Rose Festival Foundation Board, Raymond James Women’s Advisory Council, and other nonprofit professional and community organizations.
Linette and husband, Steve, reside in Aurora, Oregon, on a small farm where they raise Appaloosa horses. Together, they have four grown children and six grandchildren. Linette is a talented photographer and loves horseback riding and travel.
